The Library’s Zotero Vancouver citation style available in French and English

The Zotero Vancouver citation style developed by the Library is now available in both French and English versions in the official style repository.

If it has already been installed via the repository, no action is required. The style should update automatically next time you open the software. If you are installing it for the first time, follow the steps below:

In the Zotero software:

  1. Go to Edit > Preferences
  2. In the preferences, go to the Cite tab > Styles tab
  3. Click on the Get additional styles… link
  4. In the window that opens, type Vancouver
  5. Click on Bibliothèque universitaire de médecine – Vancouver
  6. The style is automatically installed in Zotero

When adding the first citation in your word-processing software:

  1. Choose the citation style Bibliothèque universitaire de médecine – Vancouver
  2. Select the language in which you are writing the document: Français (France) or English (UK)
  3. We recommend to tick the box Use MEDLINE journal abbreviations
